Alrighty. Now that I've moved up to Eve, I decided it needed a Shoutbox. So that's just what I wrote.

This uses its own table, so it shouldn't count toward your total post limitations or whatever. But it does use the Eve cookie to verify that users are logged in before allowing them to add shouts. I'm calling it a beta version, since at this moment it's only been tested on my site, so there might be something I missed that needs to be there. If you find any problems, or would like other features added, please let me know.

Thanks Jamin! I modified the code a bit and came up with this -> www.singletrack.net/eve

I added a few things like displaying the time (per user preference settings for timezone) and slipped in a content island at the bottom below the form. Also made it launchable in its own window so you can have it open while you read the forums etc.
