Hi, hope I'm not treading on anyones toes here, but I have a category hack done with CP control, so all new templates will be created with it and you can have a different graphic background header in all forums now (if you want).
Once done upload your graphics to the noncgi folder and set it up by entering just the graphic name in the style templates, under the new category & forum header background entries (below the page background entry)...
UPDATED to v1.3 - you can now have different graphics for the Category and Forum Detail headers using the control panels style sheets (Separate file for upgrade instructions for v1, v1.1 & v1.2 users)

Spaceports seem to have produced a new advertising method which messes everything up.... will have to find a better place.
It has been tested and seems to work just fine
