That's not it LK. Those warnings are associated with global variables. For security's sake, PHP recommends that "register_globals = off". In the default installation before 4.1, register_globals = on Thus you have two options:
1) upgrade to UBB 6.2.x - ultimatebb.php works now when register_globals = off 2) turn register_globals on in php.ini
