I'm currently developing my site on my own linux server and am thinking that I'd really like my own MySQL instance. I'd want my own data file directory, my own mysqld processes, etc. Can't someone else on the same process/instance just run mysqld -p<password> and grant, revoke, etc. to any database on that instance? I'd rather not share. :-)
Has anyone else requested this? I'm currently checking out vservers.com, futurequest.com, mylinuxisp.com, and lobo.net.
Thanks,
Bill
