For a VERY ugly example of what this will allow you to control you can take a look at the devel site as I am starting to add some things in there and just changing the styles to things that will stand out so I know it is working. Haven't added alot, but you'll be able to get the idea. All of the styles have been changed by just using the style sheet, not editing the code itself.
