I have a server that i want to benchmark MySQL and the server itself with a large database, atleast 500MB maybe.
it's a Dual athlon system with a hardware ide raid card, and i like pushing hardware as fast as possible - it's just fun, hehe.
anyway.
is there a way i can create a threads db that large?
or even just if theres software out there to test the performance?
i haven't worked with raid much, so i wanna see the differnce between things like raid 0+1, 3, and 5 running stuff like mysql and webservers.
or heck, just any fun stress tests or good data I/O benchmarks
