UBBDEV Members:
As we continue to grow and expand, each of our staff members' responsibilities will change to adapt to the new environments we now face. Therefore, I want to post this updated reminder about asking for help at UBB Developers Network.
As you can probably imagine, maintaining some 2000 users can be a very daunting task. This in itself is a full time job. While Allen, Deb, and I will still be around to answer posts and help out as much as possible, we need to really concentrate our efforts on making sure this site runs as smoothly as possible. Therefore, we would like to ask that you try to direct all of your questions to our moderators who are more than qualified to answer them for you (some of them are even more qualified than we are). Granted, there will be times that you may need one of us, and we'll do everything we can to help you when that situation arises.
Speaking of our moderators, many of them have jobs and/or school outside of UBB Developers Network which, in many cases, must come first. Please respect their privacy by not choosing to ICQ them with your questions initially.
Below is a checklist for obtaining help at UBB Developers Network. If we all do our best to try and follow this checklist, everyone's life will be that much easier.
[*] Post your question in the appropriate forum. If you need further assistance ...
[*] Email / ICQ the moderator(s) of the forum in which you posted your question. Please allow for a minimum of 48 hours when you request individual assistance from a moderator. If you need further assistance ...
[*] Email / ICQ Allen, Deb, or myself and we will try and help you in the best way possible. Please allow for a minimum of 72 hours when you request individual assistance from an administrator.
Keep in mind, the entire staff at UBB Developers Network is committed to ensuring that your time spent here is as enjoyable and rewarding as possible. However, to accomplish this, we need the understanding and patience of all of our members.
Thanks for your time, and I hope to see all of you online.
