On our board that is in defaulted in threaded view people basically post their replies in the subject fields. This makes it so conversations take place in the chains of subject lines (usually one line).
If ubbthreads did not have threaded view we would not be using it on our site.
We're stuck in threaded type posting because the forum was originally hosted on a server.com discussion board that operates that way and discussion would usually be one line replies.
