Thanks Anno, I will give your code a try this evening.

From the 6.4.4 admin panel: "(When banning by IP you can use a % to match multiple digits or _ to match a single digit. So you could ban a range or block of IP's with the following 10.1.2.%)"

I banned 1.1.%.% and everyone from that subnet can continue registering and posting.
