I operate a website forum which has been non commercial the whole time. It all started as a personal web page and has grown to a fairly busy site with over 600 members and upwards of 10,000 posts. A squabble occured between a couple of members, and it was brought to my attention that I may be liable for certain statements that were made. I have since deleted the offending posts. It's just a personal site in which we exchange fishing reports and tips, etc. I found a lawyer that develops this kind of stuff, but they want a $1,500 retainer plus $255 per hour.
Yeesh, it's just a hobby for crying out loud. Anyway, I am looking for resources on developing agreements for "Forum Rules", "Terms of Service" and a "Privacy Policy" so I can protect myself at a reasonable price. Thanks for any suggestions.
