Found a small problem with this hack... if the user has smilies disabled, it still shows the smilies in the preview, also it doesn't save the state of the "Disable Smilies" checkbox. here's the fix:

In postings.cgi:

find:
Code
code:

replace it with:
Code
code:

then find:
Code
code:

and replace it with:
Code
code:

Save and done!
