I just added

if ($SmilieURL eq '') {
$SmilieURL = "http://$ENV{'HTTP_HOST'}/ubb";
}

still no luck. In the smilie control panel (since it's looking for www.yourwebsite.com no default directory) for my smilies I just input ubb/smilies/smiliename.gif and the smile picture shows. Now the posts still don't work and there's not smilie button. Arg!
