I've been using a hidden version of that on my site (
www.planetunreal.com/modcentral) for a couple of months. I have it using LWP to get the translated page (just the news), as that way I can still keep the nav bar and headers of my page in English. The next version of this hack should be to translate particular posts from language to language.
I don't have international boards, so this is no use to me. However, it may be critical if a thread turns bi-lingual. An easy way to do it would be to copy the Edit sub to "Translate" and take out the text areas, then add the form on that page. Pretty it up and you should be all set.
