Good question Matthew, that would make postings.cgi a little cleaner. The setting would be in the code_buttons.pl file, where you find a CHECKED or something around the "basic" or "Prompt" (do a search for the exact word).
BVA, NS and IE have always handled javascript differently... when developing additions to the code, we developed for the most popular browser and then moved it to work in Netscape if possible. Netscape browsers
cannot handle the sound addition, and it really should be removed from the code completely.
