Is it possible to further explain why HTML is so much more dangerous in sigs than on the rest of the board?
It seems like Infopop would allow the owners of the boards the power to disable or enable HTML in sigs. With enough warnings as to why it should not be enabled, why not allow the UBB owner (ahem licensee) the ability to chance that themselves?
In an earlier version (around 5 I think) I had installed a mod that allowed HTML in sigs - never had any problems but the people who join my board are not trouble makers.
Actually to enable HTML on a per user basis with the default as disabled for new users would really be ideal. That way new users - who intend to attack and disrupt are prevented - while known users are enabled.
As stated earlier, the main reason is for image attributes (so sig text can appear beside the image), centering, font coloring and size.
Why not allow the owners to make that decision?
