You can pretty much figure out a board is pirated by reading posts, by the appearance of it, and especially if it is on a free host(even more espeically if it is on a host that has banned ubb due to the high server processing).
Reading posts is always a dead give away. Alot of the time you can go strictly by an ugly board, most people who have paid the $200 license fee, really want to make their board the best they can.
