I like taking the Acela when I need to go down to DC, and work is paying for it. Then I stretch out with all my computer stuff on one of those tables. Regular Amtrak train will do you just fine...unless of course your some kind of train freak and want to be able to tell all your friends that you rode the high speed train
(of course there are very few areas where it even gets moving).
