how can i protect a directory with .htaccess?

not with password... just deny viewing of that directory by index... i mean like:

Index of /cgi-bin...

???

Why don't you just make a file 'index.html' and put it in that directory?

If some types .../cgi-bin/ it will redirect them to .../cgi-bin/index.html. wink
