Hi I want to write a simple perl script that will do the following:

Copy an existing file in a unix directory to another directory on the same server (both directories are owned by me).

Can someone please help? I am totally clueless about Perl wink

Thanks in adv.

All you need is the File::Copy module. For details about how to use it, type

perldoc File::Copy

from a command line.

You should also read this for a good Perl tutorial. Note that the win32 in the URL does not mean it is for Perl on windows only
