I just wanted to test a concept. Would it work for me to have the cgi that generates the active topics also write to an HTML file that I could then include in SSI on my front page?

Mastermind, How intensive is intensive? I would assume that I would have to look for where it was going to write the page to the cache, and do it there. I haven't had time to play with it yet, but think it might be fun to try.

0.95 CPU. But it's a one time thing. It will general the HTML page for SSI, thats the only trigger to the CPU, but all it has to do afterwhich is update 3 lines which is easy on the server..
