Well I am trying to implement this hack from version 5. For those unfamiliar, basically it uses a javascript function and the option input to allow you to pull down and choose user images from an avatar directory. I am NOT using the Picture field that comes with UBB 6, I am using custom field 1. Totally different idea, I don't want people linking to any of their own images.
Anyways, I basically have it working perfectly, except I cannot get the dang image URL to write to the profile. I have tried everything possible for the last 6 HOURS and I cannot get it to write that URL. Ideas?? I will wait until 6.0 is out of beta to release but I want to test it now to make sure it works right.
Thanks.

Well I sorta figured out the problem, it has to do with the DHTML that generates the image when you click it in the option list. Take out the DHTML and the file writes, but that pretty much makes the hack useless if you can't view the user image when you choose.
Does some DHTML not work with UBB 6? What the heck?

It's exactly the same as the old one except right now I am having problems getting the custom image to work, that's where I'm at right now.

Well it's all done! Barring any real changes to the released version of UBB 6, this hack should work just fine. Will release it when we are outta Beta.

you're talking of DHTML, will this version be totally netscape 4 compatible ?
Do you believe in love at first sight, or should I walk by again?
