ok i just finsihed my first mod!

its nothing really big, but its a start.

Mod Name: Hex Page 2.0

Discription: this will add a hex code page to you UBB. with a HEX CODE generator

i havent made the page look like the UBB yet, but i will do that very soon.

there aint any bugs as it is a small mod, and it works fine.

i should work with both 6.0 6.1, i don't see how it wont.

anyway here is a example.

if you would like to install it the ZIP file containing 3 files {README, .CGI, IMAGE} can be found here (version 1)
here (version 2)

i hope to add a few more features to the next version... smile -post feedback here

Nice job CR. But untill you add full wordlet support this needs to be in beta. Thanks for understanding.

i will intergrate this with my new hack i'm working on.

it is a custom HTML for Administrators, Moderators, & Normal.

you can pick your own HTML for them inside the Misc Settings. smile

i have just finished 2.0

features:

  • Better looking, no files need to be edited
  • Wordlets added, although must be edited to modify.

i am not going to make anymore versions of this, i only really made this for practice. i hope you will find *some* use for it.

i may add the wordlets to modify via CP l8r 2day if anyone requests it. smile

Cool stuff CR. Must have taken a long time to enter all those map coordinates. Impressive.

I did something very similar back in July of last year, and added it to my v5 board. I took a slightly different approach, inspired by the RGB spectrum color picker used in some graphic apps.

Here's the output of the perl script that generates the colortable gif and the image map code.

Here's a zip with the source. The parameters are hard coded, but it did what I needed at the time.

You can see the color picker in action by visiting my UBB . Sorry guys and gals, it's still a v5 board. I promise to upgrade "Real Soon Now"®.
