The icon didn't show up because you didn't define it correctly in Primary Setting -> Style Setting.

Proof: When I clicked on the property of the de-top icon, it gave me this: http://www.ultanime.net/ubb/
instead of:
http://www.ultanime.net/ubb/detop_topic.gif

make sure that in the file cp_styles.cgi, when you added the 2 parts that you added BOTH of them in 2 places. that is most likely the problem. do that and reset styles and it should be fixed.

I did the style thing and checked over all of my hacking and it all was fine. Nothing I can find wrong what so ever . Anyways I would also like to get rid of that little : after sticky: which I have changed into a image:

Top topic. If anyone know's how to get rid of that : in front I would be very happy and also to be able to get the top and de-top images working >_<.

i meant to put that : in the wordlet with "Sticky" but forgot. next version

as for the images in the thread not appearing, well im not really sure. i havent run into any problems with that part. like i said the only thing i could think of is the code in cp_styles.cgi, but you said thats all right, so im really not sure.

oh, make sure if you have multiple styles that your updateing the style set your site actually uses, not the default one...you most likely are but just in case i thought i would point it out

I accidently had the images in the wrong spots in my style varialbes. I just redid them and submited the variables and now all works well ^^. Sorry for all the hastle before when it was just my dumb mistake >_<. Anyways I really appreciate you helping me out, danka =D.

new version uploaded. version 1.5 integrates the seperate temporary bumping hack into sticky threads.

if you are upgradeing from version 1.3 you only need redo the code in the following files (as per directions):

ultimatebb.cgi
ubb_topic_maint.cgi
vars_wordlets_mods.cgi
ubb_lib_posting.cgi

remove all code added in previous versions to the above files and replace with the code in the latest version. this will update the hack. also you will need to upload public_top_topic.pl to your templates directory.

enjoy.

ps: this is ready for the finished modifications forum barring any bugs that somehow slipped past me. there will be no further features added.

BUG:

When I try to add a new style template it won't let me and this comes up:

You did not complete all required fields.
You did not complete: top_thread
You did not complete: detop_thread

But those 2 options didn't even come up when I tried to add a new template. Please help!

I got mine all installed, and when I got to the CP, I added the images, but They don't show up in the posts. So I can't bump them. Can someone help me out and tell me what I screwed up?

couple things to check -

1) in cp_styles.cgi make sure you added both of the new additions in 2 places each.

2) make sure your setting the right fields in the style template and not delete_topic graphic or something

3) make sure gfx are uploaded in NonCGI dir.

4) if all of the above are ok, then check your style template on your ftp and see if it contains the words top_thread and detop_thread, and that each are set to something, for example :

top_thread => q^top_topic.gif^,
detop_thread => q^detop_topic.gif^,

works fine on my ubb604d

I did all that jordo told to check. It still doesn't work for me. The Top and Detop fields don't show up for me when trying to make a new template.

hey jordo .. two things.. you need to add cp_add_new_template.pl in tha hack and have them put in there what they put in cp_vars_styles.pl .. otherwise a ggreat all arouund HACK!!!

indoe - its so when you add a new style set that it adds the top and detop graphics too. i hadnt thought about that.

Angel of Death - just do like Tech-Ni-Kal said and add the stuff that you added in cp_vars_styles.pl to cp_add_new_template.pl. thats all i updated the instructions with.

I was wondering if there was any way to set up the mod so registered users could temp-bump any messages, but admins and mods had the option to temp-bump or perma-bump. Thanks.

this will make it so any logged in user can bump a topic. they just click on the top topic button like an admin would and choose bump, sticky (perm bump) wont work for them like you asked.

Cool. Thanks a lot jordo. Out of curiosity, can you think of any way to make it automatically select the temp bump for non mods and admins (i.e., they click on Top Topic and instead of going to the perma- or temp- selection board, it just automatically temp bumps it)?

That way, the users could just bump with one click, and the admins and mods would still have the choice. Thanks again for your help. This is a very useful script.

ok, keep the above modification and do the following:

in ultimatebb.cgi:

replace with :
that should do it.

Hmmm. I just realized that now it *just* bumps the message, even if you're an admin or mod. Uh oh.

pet cobra - works perfect on my test board... make sure that you seperated the lines above when you pasted them in, i just noticed that when you cut and paste them some of the spacing gets messed up.

For some reason, it just will not do anything different. I've tried it as an Admin and as a Forum Moderator. It always goes to "Topic Bumped" and just shoves it to the top. I am using custom titles on my board. Should that make any difference?

I figured out the problem. It was just a missed carriage return on my part. It caused the authorization check to fail. Thanks.

my friend created a graphic .. well, just in case you don't like 'Sticky' beside your topic name - all you do is replace 'Sticky' in your wordlets with URL of the image.

Exactly the same here as well & every other hack I have downloaded from here has opened from the Zip file as well. I have tried both WinRAR & WinZip to decompress the file & no-go still

A great idea I thought of while looking at this hack is to have it so it doesnt say sticky but it changes the folder so it means Sticky .. and it will always have it after you bump it and a different graphic if its perm bumped .. What do you guys think? Would this be ok jordo?
