Ok i havnt selected it and i got:

I got the exact same error when I tried auto-install. You'll just have to install it manually.

Is this for the main page list summary or the other summary where it tells you where they are browsing etc. I want this on the Main page not currently browsing page.

TO MOD OR ADMIN: **License Sentence : on the http://www.qasic.net/locked.cgi I keep getting this error: Unable to verify UBB license sentence - I keep pasting the correct sentance right when I login, I paid for my lisence and this is starting to piss me off a little.

is the file vars_whos_online.cgi missing in the archive ?

I want to install the hack and it's not in my archive.

Nooooooooooo.....i dont wanna mansually do it...takes too long and prob. wont work either...how comes i get this error? How comes it is working for other people??

Um i started to manually hack it and everything is already hacked on ultimatebb.cgi....but it said on the error message it cant chmd ultimatebb.cgi to 755, so i did and when i re did it it said u have to change it to 777 so it can edit it but it is supposed to change it to 755 by its self but it cant and it must be some sort of chmding problem...what though...the folder is 777 right now and when i change it to 755 it says please change it to 777....!?

That happened to me too. It says it only did 3 lines of ultimatebb.cgi but the whole file ends up being hacked.

That file is made when you use the "install templates" option. Make sure your CGI directory and Templates directory are fully writable.

Um....well ok but what do I have to hack then?

I'm having a problem with this...
Even if more users are online, it still says Currently browsing the boards: 1. Same with record book.

I'm using f2s.

Hmm..WOL 4.0.0 Is f2s compatiable. But it seems to have the same prob it did with the v5 WOL...

Third time lucky for me, due to the fact that I was a complete fool when installing!

One question, is it possible to display the WOL on every forum? I looked in the settings and I cannot seem to get it to work.

By default, WOL should be displayed in every forum.

Ok I read the FAQ and realized that I should also place the code in Templates/public_forum_page.pl having done this it works a treat.

Now for some reason the online works in this forum

The only thing that I can think is that forum 7 was initiated after I switched to version 6.04f the other forums were left over from an old version of 5. Now could this be the reason why?

Second issue (sorry about this) if I call the code from my homepage using will that count hits to the homepage as well, as it seems to state that I have a lot of people broswing the online page!

JonPanky: Your ubb_forum.cgi was not hacked correctly. Re-hack it from good backups.

Regarding the SSI, it would not log the hits. Sorry

had this feature for my boards.
then i switched servers.
now, im trying to upload the old boards.
but i get errors because of the partial who's online code.
so i came here to get the full hack again.
but i can't get it, because my boards arent complete.

...cant... defeat... circular... logic....

for starters, here's my boards link:

now, for whatever reason, whenever i access the page, "who's online" sees me as a guest -- until i click on the "who's online" link, at which point, my user name is recognized.

whut the dealy? how come im not logged in when i enter my boards? (i've tried a few times, and have heard similar complaints from other users)

Hi, I've installed this hack but when I go to my ultimatebb.cgi page the following message comes up,,

"Global symbol "%vars_wordlets_mods" requires explicit package name at ultimatebb.cgi line 335.
Execution of ultimatebb.cgi aborted due to compilation errors."

There is loads of those "Global Symbol" warnings, all complaining about the vars_wordlets_mods. Any ideas? I installed the Vars Wordlets hack right before this one, so I'm not sure what's going wrong. Thanks for any help!

Above the require "$vars_config{VariablesPath}/vars_wordlets_mods.cgi" add the line use vars qw(%vars_wordlets_mods);.

That'll make it strict compatible.

well, i think everything is working properly now. im not really sure what happened... i musta screwed up some of the other files when uploading from my previous server (a whole nuther problem). so, odds are, there's lotsa bugs now, but livable, workable bugs.

ill just wait another 2 weeks or so, when 6.1 is official, and restart the whole thing clean, with new versions of who's online.

Yea i got the same thing to now my ubb is dead i can only get into my cp.cgi but the ultimatebb.cgi wont work. can some one please help

i had someone instal WHO"S ONLINE, the hack works perfect, but since i haven't been able to post or reply, here's the wierdest part.....if i post a thread it won't come out...but then i go and edit an old post, submit, then after its editted the post that didn't come out is posted, wierd ish, i hope someone could help me

update. I got my ubb back up without that hack on it. The templates are still hacked and the spots where the hack should go is coming up but i got an error on this line of my ubb_forum_summary.cgi.

It looks like you installed the code wrong in ultimatebb.cgi. Just re-hack it.

However, my main page wont show up. Same error. 'compilation errors'

My cp works, but I cant access any pages in my forum.
