You shouldn't use the code from the 'NOTE' part of the mod addon instructions tipsy

Yes, the spellcheck shouldn't paste automatically.

I fixed a mistake in public_polls.pl. If you used the text file, please rehack it.

lauren,

Code
[/code]See this part in the above, - "http text from my $spellcheck_button for that template goes here - they are different for each template", its a comment, NOT the code to add

This means you find that piece in the "my $spellcheck" button code (at the top of the file) for the template you are working on and replace the comment with the appropriate http code.

for public polls, this is what I am talking about:
Code
</pre></div></div>so it becomes:<br><br>[code]

Installed spellcheck, works fine except on all forms, spellcheck button is just a little square with no text.

I'm too new to figure this one out 'help"

Did you install Mod Wordlets? If so, rehack vars_wordlets_mods.cgi. If it still won't work, please post here the contents of your vars_wordlets_mods.cgi.

LK, I did a clean install of this to my upgraded test board (6.2.1.1), and I had no problems. laugh

I also wanted to let you know that I created a Multihack file for the modaddon hack that needs to be installed before you install the Spellcheck.

It's at http://adwoff.com/modaddon.mhp

As I've said in numerous posts, I'm taking on the challenge of creating Multihack files to "give back" a little for all the hard work everyone here does with the coding.

I take no credit for the code itself. I am simply following the questions w/in the text files to the best of my ability, and going from there.

I've installed the modaddon hack via the modaddon.mhp file and the spellcheck hack to my test board @ http://adwoff.com/ubb-test/cgi/ultimatebb.cgi

Oh, I also created a Multihack file for this.

It's at http://adwoff.com/mod_wordlets.mhp

Same motivation as I've already mentioned.

I hope I'm not breaking protocol.

It's not reguired to install mod_addon. It's just an extra option, so spellcheck would work also with out the mod_addon (I guess..)

lauren, I don't know JavaScript well enough to know for sure, but I don't think it works without it.

Guess how surprised I was that 'Spellcheck' is not a word shocked

I changed 'Spellcheck' everywhere to 'Spell Check', but no need to rehack - if you WANT to change it, change it in Mod Wordlets List.

Gr8 work! smile

hmmm, I got two required hacks installed, but I guess this hack don't work on 6.2.1.1

Any chance of porting it to the new ver?

Why do you think so? I think it works in this version cause... hmm... I made the instructions for 6.2.1 and there is no difference in that part between 6.2.1.1 and 6.2.1? And maybe because my board is 6.2.1.1? smile

Hmmmm, well when I did a find for what the hack said to find it couldn't find anything. Any idea why that would be?
