I have ported this hack for ubb6.1.x. It's working great!

I can post it here if it is okay with Allen and Ely.

Remember to use Right Mouse Click and Save Target (or Link) As.

It's fine with me, it'd be up to ELY_M

I assume it's ok with ELYs, too.

You forgot to say you have to rightclick and choose "Save Target As...".

Good job, but I think the wordlets should be XHTMLed

Yes, to download it from the hyperlink, one has to right-mouse click, then save target as.
Hack on vars_wordlets_mods.cgi is also updated to make it XHTML compliant.

Wristnetworks, take a look at http://lkubb.dns2go.com (but you have to register your nick to use it). When you create a new topic/reply/edit your post, there is a URL to the upload form (btw, in mine it's ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=upload_form but in this one it's upload_form.cgi but it doesn't really matter).

You can also choose in the CP to use a random number, member number or member name to the file. I chose Member #.

If you are familiar with ELYS_UPLOAD hack for 6.0x, then this is nothing new.

LK, very nice board! I notice that you also have News Fader hack. I didn't know that it is available for 6.1. Did you port it by yourself? Can you release it? Thanks.

All I did was to make it work for 6.1x

Does it have the ability to specify file types and size (pixels and largest file size of 30k) ??

Just curious as I'd like to user this hack in co-ordination with Avatar Hack. Some of my members want to upload their own pic.

Certainly!
You can specify the file type by specifying the extension (.jpg, .zip, .gif, etc...) and file size limit in bytes.
BTW, credit should be given to ELY_M. He wrote the hack; I just ported it to UBB 6.1

I have installed this hack twice and I am still unable to see the Upload Form link when posting, or replying to a topic.

can anybody help me with this?

Please read the instruction file that comes with the hack:

# Important go in your control panel and check your wordlets mods
#
# and click on update ! OR you will got blank stuff.
#
# go in to your control panel (cp.cgi)
#
# go in Miscellaneous Settings and configure your dir and url for upload folder
#
# make sure you create a folder for uploads and chmmod that folder to 777
#
# Very Important ! you have to go in to forum settings too. to decide which forums
# you want to allow uploads of the files in specific forums.

When you post, on the left portion of the message box, underneath the text Message:, you will see the link.

I have created the directories and I have set the configurations under Misc. Settings. I have also set my forum to allow uploads. I think my problem is when I attempt to update the Wordlets mods. Which Wordlet list do I need to updat? I have tried updating all of them with no results.

You must have Modification Wordlets (vars_wordlets_mods.cgi) hack installed. If you follow the README file correctly, you shouldn't have to update your Mod wordlet list.

I already had vars_wordlets_mods.cgi installed. The read me file says:

Go to your Control Panel (cp.cgi), click on Wordlet Lists -> Modifications Wordlet List. Check these fields upload_*, make sure they are not empty; especially "upload_link". After making sure they are okay, click the "Update Modifications Wordlet" button.

Well, **** on me...
now I had that since I installed Mod Wordlets first time on my older forum, was the same then and now, who's online works, but now I cant get this damn think to work, eny IDEA where I'm wrong??! I've seen others have same problems, how do I fix this? and one more thing, in this UPLOAD HACK, when I edit mod.wordlets, save it and run update on my picture above it deletes ALL exept first and last line in that file??! Note: that was not case when I installed Who's online and few others, you are free to look pictires here...
