BT,

I tried incorporating the &TimeFormat on my LT before but it would give me an error so I left it out. I need to look closer to why this is happening. If it works for you great!

Also, the jump to last page works on my board perfectly? I'll keep checking for any errors.

I'm also working on an alternitave website to download. Some poeple have reported that they can't access the profusion.iwarp.com website. Please keep trying, it works perfectly at home and work here.

Thanks

Casual

General,

Stick the SSI call in one of your main non-forum HTML pages and you'll find it updates fine. SSI calls don't work from inside the forum unless you pre-define them as per the 'show IP' hack (Remote Address).

I suggest you read this thread right through as you'll see exactly what I did a page or two back to resolve this.

anyone have any luck creating an "in-forum" latest threads?

i just tried a few different approaches, and have yet to come up with a succesful way to somehow include the recent topics in a "sidebar" like header. frown

I've edited my files so that it uses the PHP Accelerator, this seems logical as any recent posts will be accessible through the accelerator. Maybe you could add the option to do this in the next version?

Sorry, at this point if you are using the I-FRAME setup you will have to wait until I release the Header/footer version.

Please be patient I will have something soon.

Thanks

I think I've cracked the jump to last page problem. You need to change the following:

Code
code:

to:

Code
code:

I have 25 topics per page but only 15 posts per topic page, the latest threads was taking the value from the topics per page instead of the posts per topic!

Bugreport: filtering is not working properly - I am filtering Forum 15 (to not to be shown) and the hack filters the forum (great) but it filters all threads with a 15 in it too (e.g. thread number 00153).

I have everything set up nicely
however, it only works when UBB caching is off.

When it is on, lt.cgi apparently doesnt execute (using the SSI command) on my homepage and the threades aren't updated.

Anyone knows how to fix this? I need to turn the cache back on to speed things up!!!

Unfortunately, when I execute the lt.cgi, it's just blank. Nothing shows up at all.
I don't get an error though. Needless to say, the SSI is all blank too obviously.
What did I do wrong here??

Can you please give me more info on your setup, what UBB version, any other mods you've added etc...?
Are you on an NT server?
If you are, have you tried the $debug_zone option?

Same as above; if your on NT server please try $debug_zone.

DjCasual: anything found out, why the filters don't work correctly?

An another question: the user, who has started the thread shows up with his login-name, not with his public name - where can I change that?

Do a 'man crontab' or read the crontab tutorial from the following link.

basic commands are:
crontab -l (list)
crontab -e (edit with vi)

http://www.superscripts.com/tutorial/crontab.html

Hope that helps.

Sorry at this point in time I have no other source you can download this from. I know some people have problems downloading from these servers, only thing I can suggest for the time being is try downloading from another computer.

Thanks

Bugs in the document:
1.
NOTE: If your upgrading from earlier versions of latest_threads v1.1 and *
* below please read lt_upgrade.txt
-> lt_upgrade.txt is missing in the .zip-file

2.
Optional for I-Frame users:
/noncgi dir/ lt_header.html (chmod not required)
/noncgi dir/ lt_header.html (chmod not required)

->lt_footer.html instead of 2x lt_header.html

[Sat Jan 19 00:35:08 2002] lt.cgi: [Sat Jan 19 00:35:08 2002] lt.cgi: (Maybe you didn't strip carriage returns after a network transfer?) BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /hosting/almjovem/public_html/forum/ubb_lib_filehandler.cgi line 15.

Thats the error you get.

It most likely means that you uploaded the files in 'BINARY' mode. Make sure you upload these files in 'ASCII' or else you get the 'strip carriage return' error also remember to chmod files. If problem still continues, please let me know.

Thanks

Ok, What version of UBB are you running?

How long has your UBB been running, and does it have any problems?

Another possibility is that the ubb_lib_filehandler.cgi files may have been uploaded in BINARY. May want to re-upload in ASCII just in case.
