Hey yall, i upload all files etc and hacked it and when i go to set the title's and ranks in my cp its fine but when i got to update them when i change them i get this....
An error has occured:
Can't open ''.
I was unable to find that file or directory. Please check the paths.
The exact error returned by the operating system is:
No such file or directory
Any idea why?
btw re-hacked it 8 times now and still doing the same.
Now jimbo posted awhile back to go to his site and download Custom_Status_Rank_v1_1_pb1 or something like that but when i downloaded it, it was Custom_Status_Rank_v1_1_pb3

Not sure , are you using the Jimbo hack from http://www.qasic.net ? I used the public beta on there and i had no problems

I think you need to CHMOD whatever file it says it can't open..

I would but it dont say any file all it says is..

But once downloaded it says i have downloaded
Jimbo's Custom Status/Rank 1.1 PB3 which wont work for some reason.

Try this...Before you start entering your custom ranks/titles go into your control panel and select Primary Settings/Custom Status Rank Settings and check your root directory of your "cstatus.cgi", "crank.cgi", "crankma.cgi" and "cranko.cgi" files which should be stored in your cgi-bin folder. More often than not, if you hacked the codes correctly as well as uploaded all necessary files this will be the source of the problem.

Just like to say thanks alot guys for the help, it is all done and working just fine now.
Problem was that the path was wrong.
i totally didn't think of even checking.
btw thanx PrimeTime for pointing that out.

ahhhhhhhhhh now ive got another problem.
Now its allowing me to set it and all, but when i go to my forum its not showing the custom title or rank.
Any idea why this would be happening?
all options have been turned on and all so i cant see why it shouldn't work.

If you say everything was turned on then make sure you added the code ---> $custom_status somewhere in your public_topic_page.pl. If not then rehack ubb_lib_posting.cgi.
It could also be incorrect entries in your custom title and rank fields...Make sure you follow the directions cause it's easy to miss.
