Lets say you are at a friends house and they have no FTP program, but you have to get on one, is there a place online u can go? Any Info Would be greatly good!

Start -> Run
type:
command.com

At the command prompt, type:

ftp servername.whatever

COOL! But you cant upload files, chmod them, and edit them either, so how would that help me? (or can you )

You can chmod by issuing:

site chmod 0777 filename.ext

You can retrieve files by using:

get filename.ext

You can send files by using:

put filename.ext

Manual FTP is a real challenge.

I installed Gossamer FileMan on my server for those times when I need to upload stuff but don't have access to FTP (and am too lazy to use the dos version). It works really good and has all the normal FTP features too.
