I have just found out something, and I'm not sure if its just how the system works, or an actual bug. If its how the system works, then its brilliant to a certain point.

Let me explain:

We have a member "katie" for example who we believe as another nickname "beth". She's all cool and nice on the Katie nickname, and a ***** on the beth nickname.

If you view the recent posts for "beth" her 2nd nick, you will see

However if you click on that post, you will see that she never even posted in that thread under beth, rather her normal nick "katie"

So that in itself is telling us shes the same person. Im not sure why "Users recent Posts" does that, but in a way its kinda cool, cuz it just told me that shes a two faced "_____"

It isn't programmed to work that way. If it shows it like that, either Beth was called Katie when the post was made, or it is just a meaningless bug. Check both of their IP's in the profile section. If they have the same IP you'll know they're the same person. If not, they could or could not be the same person.

They have to be using the same account, hence why I asked for both user numbers

Katie is 896 (user is called something else)
Beth is 1212 (user is called something else)

They have the same IP, but that IP is being used by that specific apartment complex that their in. So its hard to say. However I still believe its the same person

Oh ya, I know that much. Personally I liked it, because it only verified to me that they were the same person.

I know I can resolve the problem, guess I was just wondering if it was a common thing.

Can a regular user remove topics he has initiated in that forum? If so maybe Beth initiated that topic, then realized it fits better to Katie's profile, so she deleted it, logged in as Katie and re-posted it.
