hmm, I don't think you understand what I mean, I mean that because I added the wordlets file to the MultiHack file I forgot to put that file in the ZIP file, not that I didn't want to

The multihack step for cp_wordlets.cgi needs to be adjusted, seems that the spacing in the base code is a bit different

its a great hack
but my members complain about it
because the IM appear to them every time when they viewing my UBB
and they need to refresh the page to get rid of it
but in the last version of IM nobody complained
i think because you used javascript instead of ifram !!!!
im not expret in these things
can i have a solution

@LK, hey, i'm missing a comment like 'hey chris, thanks for the idea of the IM-thing you used to coded for 5.x *g* in the earlier times' i think it was my 'invention' bringing an IMfeature into an ubb... mhnn.. No, well, i think i'm gonna give it a try as soon as i made the upgrade.. i love the idea but i was too busy to finish that hack even for ubb.v5x :-/ shouts! chris http://technoforum.de

tiger - yes, that's why... if you wish, you can add the previous version again, then in ubb_checkmsg.cgi add:[code][/code]to somewhere in the beginning.. techno, I guess I could say that but because I've never used UBB 5.x I didn't know you made an IM hack

Since the Javascript is in the footer how long does it take for a user to get an IM that you've sent? Also, is there a setting where I can reset the refresh rate lower to say, 60 seconds?

In the IM instructions it states:
"FILES MODIFIED: public_common.pl, ubb_lib_files.cgi, ultimatebb.cgi,

Where are the modifications for - ubb_lib_files.cgi and ubb_lib.cgi?

After 2-3 days of trying, the hack works fine. Except of some members complaining that the same message pops up everytime when they open a page. I guess this is a fault of the browsers they may be using since I've been trying the hack with IE6 and haven't seen any problem. The only thing I'd like this hack to have, is "radio buttons for members". This way there can't be much abuse. For mods and admins I'd like it to be as it is, in cases they need to send the same message to more than one member. P.S. I couldn't download the addon mod for cp

Even with the temp files cleared I have times where I get 10 or 20 of a particular message, and some of my members report the same thing.

Hmm...If that's the case then it's possible that it's an internal problem and not client error. I haven't experienced repeated messages fortunately.

Hmm...I've been using Modaddon 1.0 which was made for UBB 6.2 for the past 3 upgraded versions (to 6.4). The instructions are in text. If you want that let me know.

Hi, It's realy a great hack LK :rolleyes: my members keep shouting they want it back  I had it before on 6.3 ... now I have upgraded to 6.5 .. I put the new hack & Opss I have a problem.. IM's keeps showing to all members even after clearing the cach! I tried to figure out where is the problem ? but I didn't get it.. Would anybody please help me ?
