For now I'm back to running the demo under normal cgi. Seems there are some memory leaks somewhere while running under mod perl. It will run fine for an hour or two but then as time goes on the httpd processes start taking more and more memory until all the memory is gone and the machine starts swapping. So running under mod perl is still highly experimental. Hopefully I can find some info or someone that can help me track down the problems.
