I'm attaching a copy of INSTALL which I have annotated with specifics for CIHost.

those docs look pretty good, eileen, except I have to use /home/domainname rather than /www/domainname I wonder if it depends which of their servers you are on?

Have you had a look at your Monstercontrols? At the bottom it tells you your site details. On mine it says:

Useful Facts About Your Web Hosting Account

Your domain name is: amdragon.com and www.amdragon.com
Your server (machine) name is: cobalt
Your Secure Server (SSL) path for your domain is: https://cobalt .site-secure.net/your-username/
The path to your web directory is:/www/amdragon/

I've been on quite a few machines there in my time and it's always been like that for me.

Maybe I should add this note to the INSTALL file...

ummm..
Matty is correct the full path for Install will include either /home/yourdomain/www/ or /home2/yourdomain/www
depending on the machine you are on.

I would encourage cihosters to follow the thread in INSTALLATION conference here which offers step by step approach. I am developing official documentation from Threads and will be including specifics for several hosting services--

I will start however with the problematic ones (like vservers *laugh*)
since cihost is a straight forward install. There are no complications.
So I think seeing 20 threads on this means someone is struggling and suffering from working *too* hard smile
I suspect the best bet would be just slowly go each step outlined in the INSTALL thread and ask questions when one does not work.
You also can keep the questions in a single thread so we can help you and follow your progress. By having so many it makes it difficult.
