Hi:

I am about to install the beta PHP version. I have not installed my perl version (though I bougth the script months ago) yet but I am going to try the PHP that, by the time my site goes live, will surely be out of beta.

I copied the files to my server (vservers) but I remember reading several threads with easy installation instructions for perl. Is there something similar for the PHP version? The included readme seems to assume that you already know how to install a perl version (creating the mysql tables and all the things that I had a hard time trying to understand some time ago witht he perl version). Or is the PHP version easier to install?

1. Upload all the files to any directory on your server, images in binary and all the rest in ascii
2. set the path in main.inc.php
3. set all the variables in config.inc.php
4. run the createtable.php script
4. bring up wwwthreads.php in your browser and register a username.
5. retrieve the mail wwwthreads sends you and login with it.
6. after login you'll see a link to admin. go to admin and create your categories and forum.
