GameSpy has some new boards up. http://www.forumplanet.com

Anyone have any ideas what system they're using for their boards? It seems to be home brewed but it looks like a few other boards I've seen on the net.

These are very slick and polished looking forums with some very cool features I think Scream should check out.

Dang I wish I had more time to spiffy up my boards like these guys are doing....

I would guess snitz forum (http://forum.snitz.com/). A free (AFAIK) asp based forum system. I guess they made some modifications, at least on the look, but the features look very similar.

And since we are checking out some other packages features, I saw today something cool on a vbulletin board. They have a "user online" text or icon by the username in the post...
I always disliked the who's online feature (I dont find it ver useful, maybe it's just me) but this seems to make more sense IMO. If I am reading a post and find that Brewskie was online (just by looking at his username) it may encourage me to send him a PM, for example (I guess that is what this feature means...or could be online as of "internet online" taken from their ICQ status for example?)

BTW if it is snitz forum, and you want to try it yourself, I downloaded a few days ago the code and installed it in my desktop windows 2000....I don't know how it works on real life situations (I wont change wwwthreads for that one []/w3timages/icons/smile.gif[/] . I dont trust asp) but it was a very easy installation (i never installed anyhing that easy actually).

I also have info on some real lfe board, now that I think of it. One very popular bigbrother like tv program in argentina uses their board and it doesn't work very well..of course I don't know the other conditions (server, number of users, database and so). Why is it that NT are only a relatively small % of the sservers and yet 90 % of the time you see a server error it is NT?...
