I am planning to move from the perl-version to the php-version.
I know some perl, but almost nothing about php.

I have a lot of user on my forum today and it is a bit slow, I am not using modperl.
Is the php-version faster than the perl-version/modperl?

Before I move my users to the php-version I need to get the Post-only, reply-only hack translated to php. Has anyone done this?

Would appreciate any help I can get, you can find the hack here:

I saw an old thread here with a hack for reply only, I think, but it only solve half of my problem and I dont think it will work as well as the above perl-hack is doing.
