Hello. []/forum/images/icons/smile.gif[/] Not quite sure if this is the right forum but oh well. []/forum/images/icons/tongue.gif[/]
I am starting up a new site and intend to use UBBT. However, I don't think I want to go straight out and buy it yet. I had planned on setting up a free message board like phpBB, and if the community becomes active, then I would make the switch. Would it be a simple switch between the two without losing any posts or members? Or am I best just to install a clean UBBT? Thanks! []/forum/images/icons/laugh.gif[/]

I do not beleive there is a direct import script for this one. You would most likely be best to start off fresh with UBBT

Dave_L can do it, he converted one of my phpbb boards to ubbt, email him.

Personally, I don't know why. You could start with UBB and go to phpBB for free when your year is up though. Sorry for the threads bashing guys, just my opinion.

HUH? Just because the years is up doesn't mean the software stops working or that your license has ended.
All it means is that you don't have access to go get updates in the Member Area.
If you want to keep using the board keep using it. Nobody tell you that you can't. It is a lifetime license.
