i think it would decrease the allocated memory of the mysql querys if all count statements wold only use the primary index of the table an not all fields. Should be faster also.
I changed all Count (*) to Count (Primary_Index_of_the_table) without any problems.

Ok, i did some research and found out that the newer MySql versions do that automatically. So there is no need to change that.
