need more information

for instance, is infopop giving you a message such as it can't find your license or password information, etc?

I didn't have any problems downloading. I have 6.0 installed and have updated my hacks, which wasn't hard at all which made me even more happier than I already was. =] I'm really happy that v6.0 is out, now we can upgrade at our site.

I can get to the download area fine, thx.

I had a problem months ago too.

If I right click and choose 'save as', its an html file.

If I just click it, it opens winzip, but theres nothing there.

I can get the old files that are not behind download lite.

Kinda sucks.

I wish they would dump that damn download lite, or pay for the full version, maybe it works better.

There is no pay for the full version. The man that originally wrote it is long gone. The script itself has been totally rewritten and bears almost no resemblence to the original except in name.

How large is the 'html' file? Macs will often download the full file and rename it with an .html or .cgi extension. But it IS the .zip.

Are you on a Mac? What is your O/S? Browser?

I am wondering whats the point of download lite? They are using antileech for the other files and it works fine.

You posted elsewhere that the problem has been resolved. It would be polite if you repeated that on any other threads on which you reported the same problem. I think there's at least one at the Infopop Community forums.

Because it doesn't anti anything. Regardless of the name. You paid good money for it. Do you want every warez site on the internet to link to the file and download it at will?

With all due respect, the problem still exists. This problem was reported months ago, infopop said they would fix it.

What I did was removed the check from 'associate Winzip from archives' in Winzip's system settings. That did the trick.

There is still something wrong with download lite though, we should not have to jump through these hoops.

Your right, I paid good money for it, last year as a matter of fact. I have been waiting 7 months for a usable version.

All I want is to be able to download it at will, not jump through a bunch of hoops and reconfigure my system.

Probably to much to ask though.

The only way that error could occur is if your browser is not sending an HTTP referral. Please disable any "privacy" software you may have installed before downloading.
