I know flat view. It's OK.
I know threaded view. It sucks.
There's a third way.
Show, at the bottom-right of a post, a link like this:
"View the 'n' responses to this post"
Simple SQL query. Really simple.
This way, people can see "what is hot and what is not". It makes things much more 'readable'.
Just a thought...
So, if I am reading this correctly he is requesting a link that would show a, likely flat, thread with only the replies to the post in which the link is.
Don't think I would personally use this, but gotta keep the members happy, eh?
