I'm trying to send email to my whole forum, (6.2.3) but I'm receiving this error:
-----------------------
List:; syntax illegal for recipient addresses HTTP/1.1 200 OK Date: Sun, 23 Mar 2003 05:02:48 GMT Server: Apache/1.3.27 (Unix) PHP/4.2.3 X-Powered-By: PHP/4.2.3 Keep-Alive: timeout=15, max=100 Connection: Keep-Alive Transfer-Encoding: chunked Content-Type: text/html 66D
----------------------------------------
Any ideias?
I have no clue why it happens. I checked few e-mails address at the beggining, looks fine. It happens on the very first e-mails because I receive one (admin account) and another (my personal account), but then the error happens.
Thank you
Elton

Looks like it's timing out. I've yet to make the mass mail feature work. I think Allen just tried here and it didn't work.
6.3 will have an option to send the mails one by one... until then, I haven't had much luck.

Josh,

Just for the record... I received the email Maybe when we get it working... you could share with us how you sent the index page? Looked good.

As you know, I have been dealing with this issue lately, too. I finally exported my User table to excel, the stripped out only what I needed and will use that in my bulk mail program.

I talked to a friend who runs a fourm with vbullitin and it seems that their mass mail option may be something to look at in developing the UBBT option. My undertsnading is they have MANY option on who to send to... and funny, they do it in groups of 200 to eliminate the time out possibilty. After the 200 are sent it just prompts to click and continue.

he he

Allen did that.... and he didn't use threads to do it. He downloaded all the email addresses and used a program to send it.

Allen.. what did you use?
