Has this been discussed before?
The database can only store varchar(60) for a subject in a private message.
The template for a private message grabs the subject size that is set for the subject size for posts. (Here it is 75)
So user enters a 75 character long subject in a private message: '123456789 1234567890 1234567890 123456789 1234567890 1234567890 Overflow!!!'
It displays the full subject back to them during a preview. But then only stores the first 60 characters in the database.
Receiver ends up with a cut off subject that doesn't make sense if the sender filled up the entire available subject space.

I don't recall seeing this discussed. You should post this in the bugs forum at Infopop.
