I seem to have lost the ability for the forum to send email once you make a topic your favorite. The forum will send email from admin, but it will not send emails for posts or PM's.
Where is the script or file that handles that and what should I be looking for?

Correction: PM's are mailed to me.
I do not have any mods installed affecting the mailings or content of PM's

Do you have it checked in your profile in my home third one subscriptions where it says recieve emails of favorite threads.

yeah.. it was working last friday... no mods since then and it stopped working monday.
where is the code that controls the emailing?

OKay I will take it a little slower.
You go to your MY HOME
at the bottom there are three things you can do
EDIT BASIC PROFILE
EDIT DISPLAY PREFERENCES
EDIT SUBSCRIPTIONS ETC
Click the third one. Under there there are your email options that OVERRIDE anything set by default on the board
Even though you may have emails set to on you may have it set to OFF in your specific user profile.
I can not tell you how many times I was brain dead when doing something and changed something in the config and wondered why it did not work like example default post views set to 20 and in MYHOME I had it set to 10 and wondered why I only got to view 10 DUH.

OK I fialewd to make it clear enough... it was working and NOTHING has changed... the profuile settings are all the same.. the check boxes to send the favorites are checked... but to no avail...
In what File is the script/code held that holds the commands or sql lingo to send things out? I am not a tech mook so please forgive me.

Has your host changed any email settings? I would check that out first. Have you done a test mail to see if mail works.

ack my typing was really bad wasn't it. Sorry...
I did some didgging and my host did indeed upgrade my email stuff..? I had to turn it off and then back on in my profile and then it worked.... Thanks Omegatron....
