In the past 30 mins or so, my site has gone from running fine, to not showing any new posts.
If you posted, it would process, but with this error at the top of the forums

The post would be blank.
Now it wont even let me post, it says the post already exists.
Just on a sidenote, I have installed phpnewads, but I did that yesterday, and it hasn't affected anything as far as i know. Could this be a possibility? Like i said, it's been running fine for the past 20hrs or so with it.

Have you done any hacking in addpost at all? I would upload a backup or clean addpost.php file and see if you get the error again

i've just reuploaded a working addpost.php
i can now post, but it's still blank and gives the same error.
i did hack addpost yesterday with various mods, they were all working fine.
so i just uploaded the original b4 i started hacking.

Yes now what other scripts did you hack in conjunction with addpost  I would upload the last backups you did before your hacking on all touched files

yeah, i've just done all that. I backed up all the files first, i've reuploaded them, but to no avail.  i've not been having much luck lately!

Have you edited your banned keywords? or title etc any of the filter files lately. If so this could be the culprit

Well the only other reported problem with this type of error was when one of the filter files were edited incorrectly.
If you have editted one of them I would replace with a known good backup
|

lol, did you edit your post? i could have sworn it said have i checked the mysql tables...........
as for the banned list, mmmm, i dont think anyone did.
can i just clear the list out?

You can try turning off censoring in the config and see if that solves it then we can know what to do.

it was the swear filter. I emptied it, it now works!

Yeah if you have some white space before the ending or it is corrupted you can get problems.
