I have been a user of Josh's "Who's Online" box since he coded it up, love the thing.

Has anyone come up with something similar for the Calendar now that we have this? Something that would show "today's events" titles, or something similar?

Not yet as 6.4 just came out. But a nice idea and should not be too hard to do.

If you use IIP or the sidebar, it's in the latest IIP.

See it in use on the home page of www.mousefunfacts.com (second box on the right)

I did something similar at leoville as well - see the top of the www.leovilletownsquare.com (below the menu bar).

I'll need some time though to get settled and write it up.

That www.leovilletownsquare.com add-on is nice, been trying to code that same type myself, but cannot get the "calendar" events and the "post" events to merge properly. I might end up disabling the ability to just add an event off the Calendar page, and force people to add events in posts.

Yes, I've never been able to get the calendar events and post events to merge right, given post events need to be based on group access and they are in different tables using non traditional date formats.
So my stuff just sticks with the events added directly to the calendar.

I fixed the eventspal I think to correctly show dates added thru the calender.. no longer shows them out of place or out of year.. gonna work on the post/calendar table next.. I guess we could add something that would input the date added via a post into the calendar table and be done withj it then if someone needed to delete it they would need to delete it from two places?
