OKay probally a simple question. I am not too up on the whole time thing. I know threads has a convert_time thing which converts timestamps etc. I know about the get_date function which pulls the current date and writes it to a database
I have wrote forms that use those functions. No biggy.
Been looking around. What I want to do is in a form enter a date in whatever format is easiest and convert that to unix timestamp to be written to the database.
Been over at the PHP site and getting a headache at all the info.

You might look at the strtotime() function. That will take a variety of date formats and convert it into a unix timestamp. Not positive that's what you are looking for but it's a very useful function.

No problem I figured it out by exploding the - away and making an array of the remaining values and using the mktime variable.
