My moderators suggested that it would be good to have the option to "post as...", just like you have in the photopost upload page.

This would be usefull when rebuilding threads. (we sometimes rebuild a thread when it contains useful info, but also a lot of rubbish & off-topic).

Is something like this possible ?

I've considered this as we all "alter egos" on our site. Instead of logging out and in as your AE, you could select your alter ego from a drop down. Not high on my list, but an interesting idea - I assume your's is for Admins only.

Yeah, I suggested something like this eons ago. Would be especially nice for admins to post admin-officialish notices, and then switch to a more friendly name

That wouldn't work for us, because it's too complicated. When I would like to re-build a thread, I would have to "become user1" - post message - logout - login as admin - "becom user2" - post message2 etc...
A simple box where I could input the user name (as in photopost) would be much easier!
