i tried to do a search here, but it told me (2nd search) I can't do another search at this time. WTF ??

I want to edit the welcome private message sent to new users. Anyone know where to find that option in threads ?

6.5 has flood protection built into the search so that some can't bring down your server by doing a bunch of small rapid succession searches. I am not sure what their settings are here, but you shouldn't have to wait for more than 30 seconds...a minute tops.

Its set at somewhere between 50 and 60 seconds. Seems a bit high to me, but its not my site.

Yes, I waited a bit to do another search and it still stopped me. IMHO, will add to the posting because folks can't search in a 'reasonable' amount of time.

Where's that timer located at again ?

Control Panel >> Feature Settings >> Search Engine >> Minimum time between searches:
