I'd like to know how I can list on my site's home page the most recents threads posted in the forums? I'm currently upgrading my site and converting it to PHP, so I'd need to know how to do it in that!

Thanks!

Antoni

In past versions of Threads there was a file in the addon folder that was specifically for this. You can change the variables in the news php file, and then 'include' that file in any other PHP document you want.

In the addons directory (if this is still in 6.5), you will find a ubbtnews.php file, and a ubbtnews.txt file on how to include it in any PHP page.

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/babyp/babypartner.com/forums/ubbthreads/addons/ubbtnews.php on line 70

I dont' want to edit the php code. Does anyone have any thoughts on how to fix this?

hmmm.. cool, I worked NICU for ~14 years

At the top of that file you need to edit the variables you'll need to use it. There's about 4-5 lines that you need to add your site's info into for it to work.

you must have seen some amazing things in the NICU. I bet it was a stressful job, especially dealing with the emotions of the parents.

I edited the top of the ubbtnews file with the path to main.inc.php and the path to ubbthreads.php, as well as some other variables, but I still get the fatal error. Do I need to cut and paste that information into the head of the dilation-and-curettage.php file?

Thanks,

Antoni

I had the wrong path entered. I think I had an extra '/' at the end of the path to the main.inc.php file. I tried editing the other file for the top threads, and made that work, then went back and copied the paths for the top news items.

Thanks for all of your help. I'm happy with the results!!!
