It's time for a facelift around here!

This evening/morning, JustDave & I updated the site to 6.2.2

JustDave created this wonderful new look for us! It's an awesome 3D type effect which I find very pleasing on the eyes. Great Work Dave!



I added our hacks back, updated a few, and even added a few new ones.

Yes... sleep does sound like a good idea. LoL 3 hours of sleep in a 48 hour period won't keep a person moving for to much longer...

But when you haven't had any sleep since Thursday night, it's a heck of a shock to click a link and have the color and style change. It took a second to make sure I was in the right place.

But it does look very nice

hehehe well you got me beat in the "lack of sleep" department.

It's a drastic change when it blindsides ya but it's easy to get used to.

Trust me, you get used to it! I usually only sleep 4 nights a week, occasionally 5. I figure I'll have plenty of time to sleep when I'm dead.

You wouldn't happen to have an invisible airplane and a golden lasso?

With all respect, I do not like this new look.
In my humble opinion the bleu backgrounds are too dark and it is difficult for me to read red color over a bleu background.
However, the 3D look is great!!!!

But can it be that the american taste is different from the european taste?

Any comments?

Eventually there will be other color themes available. Maybe even some tweaking to this one.

Great Work Guys it looks great. However I think I do have to agree with the growing concensus. It is a bit too hard on my eyes. I for one also think that we as members of this forum should have a pick on which stylesheet we use. That after all is a standard in Threads. I know we use to have that priveledge but somewhere along the line ( I think the blam stylesheet ) we were forced to use the default and nothing else.

agreed, tho i like this cool background logo here in the post box, this is a bit hard to read imho

Now I do not think it is hard to read at all. I Thing they have the proper colors to view correctly.

I think a better observations is TOO BUSY. Kinda reminds me of the WILD THEME Except this is perty. Wild is just plain ugly but in both cases just too much color to concentrate on what you are looking at. Especially when you are use to looking at lighter backgrounds. I just looked at the stylesheet and can tell ya alot of work went into this one.
People who are use to viewing text against darker backgrounds are probally drooling at this one.

It does pop you in the eye the first time you look at it, I had to check the url again after I clicked - great work guys,

Well I dont think I am having work tomorow here in Maryland, at least not with over 2 feet of snow on the ground.

I do like the new look but I do have to agree that it can be a little harder to read. maybe if you can adjust the default text to a lighter color if it is possible.

Your work is really appreciated Josh and Dave. I came back after a long (and needed) weekend and I too thought that I was in a different place LOL

I also like the idea of a couple more stylesheets. This one I like though even better than the last one. But I always loved blue!!

OK -

I just made this very quickly... based on JustDave's UltaDev sheet and the standard "The Blues".

Try selecting "UltraDevBlue" for a lighter look.

I still need to do some tweaknig with the logo images.

I like it Easier to read on and definitely different from what we've been running forever

I like it as well a bit easier to read.

Is this new style-sheet perhaps available for use outside of ThreadsDev? I'd love to stick our color-scheme into the look and feel of this!!

To be honest I don't like the new look at all.
It is much harder to read en everything looks kind of the same.
The previous layout was much more pleseant to read.

Why didn't someone who had the sidebar on the left tell me it wasn't working all this time?

Turns out our sidebar worked on the right, but on the left it said Version mismatch.

You know what would be really helpful? If you were to make links out of the mods in your mod list that take you to the thread where that particular mod can be found!

I wanted to apply the "Re: to who" mod but couldn't find it... until I tried spelling out "reply"

Ok, so I am an idiot... but it sure would help!!
